Textile Centre of Excellence
Socio-economic integration

Training Programs

As weaving is now done by women in cities, it is an important tool for their financial independence. The Textile Centre of Excellence thus gives preference to the beneficiaries of the training programs, to help them become more independent.

Fair Trade

The female crafts workers who have participated in the training programmes are able to create stylised weaves and finishes whose quality is better than what is currently available. Afrika Tiss continues to support them after the training programs so they can more easily access new market opportunities that can ensure stable income.

Social Support

The artisans receive comprehensive support not only to strengthen their production capacity, but above all to improve their social status and living conditions.
